The average maximum temperature of 13.7 was 2.4 above the long term normal.
The average minimum of 2.1 was 0.6 below the long term normal.
11 days had temperatures above 15 degrees, but there were 9 nights with air frost.
Spells of fine settled weather with clear skies led to day & night big temperature contrasts.
Ben Vrackie usually had at least some tiny traces of snow near its summit area.
15 days had no recordable rainfall & it was generally good for tourists.
Even the wettest day had only 6.8mm rain though April is often our driest month anyway.
All in all, I would imagine it's "thumbs up" to April 2015!!
WHAT'S TO COME? A few showers, with broken cloud & some sunshine FRI to SUN. Air still cold
though power in the sun. Bank Holiday Monday looking good. By next weekend, things should
be looking up with dry weather & rising temperatures.
