THE ONLY ONLINE WEATHER SERVICE WHERE THE OBSERVER LIVES & RECORDS IN PITLOCHRY,
YESTERDAY Dreadful, though at least rain eased by evening. Temperatures spent much of the day at February levels, with the 24hr rainfall total the highest since mid January. Fresh snowfall appeared on Ben Vrackie. The wind was a strong, biting easterly & conditions must have contributed to the light
aircraft crash at Abernyte, with 2 fatalities.
TODAY---"What a difference a day makes" sang Dinah Washington & she must have had the likes of yesterday & today in mind!! Already the temperature had risen to 9.3 by 0900,
inflating the official maximum for yesterday. All is set fair for a pleasant day. but sadly
it may well be the best of the week ahead.
