GENERAL OUTLOOK FOR LOCAL AREA OVER CHRISTMAS PERIOD

Mainly dry with some sunshine &only small amounts of rain overall during the next week, although latest indications suggest the likelihood of some sleet or snow later on Boxing Day. Max temperatures in a range 2 to 6, with frosts fairly frequent overnight. Snowfall not expected to accumulate to any degree below 200ms, but limited fresh falls above 300 ms in Grampians. Winds mostly from a westerly quarter, force 3 or 4 at low altitudes.
