High pressure is retreating into Europe & changeable conditions, under the influence of low pressure & fronts will be the dominant influence over Scottish weather in the coming week. Rainfall amounts will always be higher in the west, with little towards the East Coast.

Much of today will be rather cloudy with some occasional rain, mostly light. Skies may become brighter at times this afternoon,with less of a chance of any rain. The likelihood of lower cloud & further light rain seems likely for the evening & into the night.
